How to claim 3 hours free TV

Fill out the survey

If you haven't already, please fill out our survey that will take 5 minutes to complete. We ask that only patients fill out this survey at sites that have the Bedside Units (BSU) and have used them. Image of them below. We kindly request that you complete the survey only once, as you will only be eligible to claim your 3 hours of free TV viewing once.

SPARK TSL want to move away from the patient pays model and improve our services on the Bedside Units. The best way to do that is to ask those who use the BSUs. By gaining insights into the demographics of patients utilising the BSU, along with their valuable opinions and feedback, we will have the information to make well-informed decisions to enhance our services.

Read about why patients currently pay for entertainment and what our plans are to move away from it in this article.

The survey will ask personal information such as your name. This is so we can confirm that you have filled out the survey and can appropriately provide the 3 hours free TV. Please read our private policy if you want to know more about how your data will be processed.

You can fill out the survey here. Then come back to this page to find out how to redeem your 3 hours free TV.

How to redeem 3 hours free TV

Remember TV on Hospedia Bedside Units is free from 6am to 12pm for adult wards, and 7am to 9pm on children's wards. The radio is also free 24/7.

  1. Visit https://support.wifispark.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
  2. Fill in your email and title the subject as ‘3 Hours Free TV’
  3. In the description box please provide the following:
    • Initial of your first name and full last name. E.g. J.Smith
    • Hospital
    • Ward name
    • Bedside Unit number (the 11 digit number displayed at the bottom of the screen)
    • The date and time you would like to activate free TV (12pm, 3pm, 5pm or 7pm)

Please note that it can take up to 5 hours for our customer care team to complete your request. If you request free TV for 5pm at 4pm, the team might not get round to it intime and schedule the free TV for the next timeslot instead.

You will get an email confirmation that your request has been received. When a member of the SPARK TSL Team has completed your request, you will get another email confirming when your free TV time will be activated. Please mind, the free TV may be available up to 10 minutes after the activation time due to traffic from other requests.

On the Bedside Unit screen after clicking 'Watch movies TV & more' there will be yellow text under 'Watch TV' telling you how long you have access to TV for. If you have already paid for a TV package, 3 hours will be added onto your time and displayed there.

You will know if the free time has not been activated because the yellow text won’t have a countdown, and when you try to watch TV after 12pm, a paywall will come up.
